About Me

My photo
My name's Alison but for reasons too long to go into I'm known as Cockney Blonde or CB for short. I've been rubber stamping for several years but now spend most of my time either knitting or crocheting. However, with the advent of a New Year I have bitten the bullet and am tackling my usually hated pastime of sewing. I've even bought 'Sewing for Dummies' to guide me on my way. I've been with my hubby Dave for 24 years and between us we have 4 kids and 5 grandkids. We also have 2 cats and a dog, the latter features as my 'photo' image. I used to be able to blog daily but these days I struggle to blog weekly. Hopefully now we are settled into our new home in the country, I can get back to a daily (well almost) update from the room I now have to share with hubby. No more personal crafting space for me!!! Thanks to all the blogs and sites I follow for all your brilliant inspiration, and thank you to everyone who finds the time to comment on my blog.

It's bin one of them cards....

You know the ones....Starts off as one thing and ends up as something else...Well this was one of them.

I'd already decided that I wanted to follow the Just Magnolia sketch and I also wanted to use another of my new digi images by MelJen's designs called 'Candy Land Dreams' as I knew it was just the perfect background for Tilda sucking on her lollipop. So then I thought, mmm, a tent-fold card would look good, so off I went cutting and using nesties and oops!...forgot I was s'posed to be following a sketch and by this time I've stuck stuff down!!! So I hope that what I've ended up with has recreated the sketch.
To the left I overlaid some lace with a strip of DP and then using glossy accents attached a string of pearls. The bottom strip is another piece of DP but I utilised the flower in the design and cut around the petals, finally attaching 2 prima flowers and a pearl brad to the centre. All the DP are by DCWV.

Inside the aperture you can make out 2 chipboard swirls coloured with copic YR16, stickles, pearls and gems for bling.

Tilda has been coloured with copics: E93, 21, Promarker Satin (skin), E31, 33, 35 (hair), BG01, 05, YR12, 15 (clothes).

I hope you like it and I'm entering it into the following challenges:-
